Alternative to Innovate LM1?
 

I have Innovate LM1 and far too often get the ERROR 4 - PUMP OPEN message.
After many times removing/replacing sensor plug into read out box the unit functions properly - untill the next time I want to use it. Sent the unit back to Innovate and they "fixed it" Same problem exists.

So - Does anyone have exprerience/suggestion of other manufacturer's AFR reader?

I hope someone has an alternative as well, the LM1 is a terrible product. They have a good warranty, but 3 O2 sensors in a year is excessive. All of the sudden I would get a zero volt reading, solution was a new sensor three times, then a new controller twice. After that I sold it.

Funny, I have nothing but good things to say about mine. It was a godsend as far as tuning my oddball MFI 3.0L application.

Where was your O2 sensor mounted? They are very sensitive to over heating, so if you used the sensor bung on the SSI's, that could have been the cause of your trouble. It will overheat even with the heat sink. The only place I've been able to mount mine to get any kind of life out of it has been in the tail pipe, using their clamp made for the purpose.

I had mine in the O2 bung on the SSI itself, never considered the "heat aspect" but now that you mention it I bet it's what killed it. My controller was mounted where the CDI used to be, I suppose also a bad spot from a heat perspective.
