Torsion bar sticking out?
Purchased a roller and removed the skid plate and found the torsion bar sticking out of the adjusting cap. Can anyone indicate what could have caused this to happen? I am planning on just replacing the adjusting cap and try pushing the torsion bar back in. The narrow cross piece by the adjusting screw on the aluminum cross member is also broken. I am not a expert but I don't think that is going to be problem. I would appreciate any comments or advice.

relax the adjuster and bonk it back in. should be a cap on the adjuster. under tension they tend to stay put. you can fab a piece to bridge the gap in the crossmember out of some steel. use the large crossmember bolt to secure it, or just drill a couple of holes in the c/member and bolt a steel cross piece on. U-FAB.
