Tranny´fluid G50
Hi all,
I know that tere are a lot of threads on this question, but I have just received some new tranny fluid for my G-50 non LSD. It is Redline 75W90. I know now that I should have ordered the 75W90 for a car without LSD. It is oexpensive for me to send the lube back to the UK from Denmark. My question is; Is it ok for me to fill my G50 with the Redline 75W90? Thanks a lot. |

Redline should be fine with your G50. Most here go with the Mobil1 Delvac, though. But the Redline is also very good, I'd say you'll be just fine.

Go here: Gear oil for G50 with LSD?
(The search button is a beautiful thing).

Don't see why it would be a problem. It is a high quality fluid with the correct GL5 rating. I have seen other threads where this was used and the owner was happy with he fluid. I used standard Mobil 1 75-90 first 2 changes and then switched to Mobil Delvac 1 75-90. I say go for it. Just get the fill plug out first

Thanks all,
Looks like I wont ruin anything by putting the normal redline 75W90 in my non LSD G50 tranny, eventhough there seems to be a bit confusion about whether the 75w90ns works for LSD and 75w90 works for non LSD. Have a great day! |
