Marelli distributor correct for 911T?

Trying to work out if all the bits I have will work together. I have a 1970 2.2L engine with Zenith Carbs, It has ( I think) a Marelli dizzy, see photos,
Question is
1. Is this correct for this engine?
2. Will it work if above is no?
3. Since its points can I connect direct to a coil?
4. Or will I need some sort of MSD unit?

They all came with a Bosch CDI box.....the marrelli was correct for the 2.0, but changed midway in the 2.2 motor series....you CAN swap in an early Bosch dizzy. Mosy foas the cap and rotor for the Marelli are NLA....

I have the proper 3 pin Bosch CD box if you need one....

1. YES
2. See above
3. Yes but be aware "if" you are piecing togeather the CDI, the CDI coil is not truly a coli so to speak and you need a true coil like a bosch blue if omiting the CDI box.
4.Not required but nice if dumping the CDI

Would sugest the Pertronix but thinking about it I doubt that they make one for that beast ( I have one in the basement, went to Bosch unit.
Drop me a note if you need info.
Regards

you would need to add a condenser if you just use a coil and not the CD unit.

thanks guy's

for now I'll just add new condensor and points with standard coil to get it running.

Instead of buying an old Bosch CDI setup is there any aftermarket alternatives that could replace the lot without costing the earth!

The aftermarket perform no better than the oem Bosch unit. The main attatraction is that they are sometimes cheaper.

Rebuilt Bosch units are cheaper than NEW aftermarket ones....

searched the forum and found that fiat 124/125 or 850 points are the same as 911 points (thanks John Walker) . What's the Marelli part No for these? I might have found some more!

Also any equivalent Condensors part No's?

seems to be all years . do a google search for Bosch 237 013 804 or intermotor 22600 or 22630, seems the same as the Marelli points.
