Fitting Power Seats in place of Manual.

I have a chance to purchase some power seats of my interior color. My current seats are not power. My seats are also shot 1980 SC

How difficult would it be to fit and get power to these seats?

Thanks,

I think the seats should bolt right in. The power part is is easy.

As has been pointed out, they bolt right in. If the SC is like the Carrera you should be able to find the wiring harness for the seats either right under your old seats or under the carpet that is under the seats.

I installed power seats in my SC. There was no existing power available. I attached temporary power, adjusted to my liking, and left them there. My seats are out of an RSA and they are much heavier than the original manual seats if that is a concern.

As Kevin points out, there is no wiring harness for the SC. You'll need to get one (or two if both are power.) I bought my replacement seats from carnutzzz here on the board, and he had a spare harness included.

I did the same as Kevin... I have 4-way power sport seats, but they aren't connected to power. The manual seat back tilt and front/back slide adjustment are all I need once the seat bottom was set to my liking.
If they were 8-way seats, I would need to have them connected.

Porsche_Monkey,
How would you power up those seats?
