Porsche Crest Mechanic Recommendation in Santa Clara CA / San Francisco bay area

I just found the best mechanic in Silicon Valley south bay / peninsula area.

I recently purchased my second Porsche and prior to purchasing, I was looking for mechanic recommendations. I looked here on pelicanparts and found lots of discussion on LA socal area and also 2 very, very old threads for the norcal san francisco bay area. I thought I'd share what I found. I called several mechanics for pre-purchase inspection, based on recommendations I found online. I had some feeling about most places after talking to the owners, but since I didn't go there I won't mention anything about those. Where I did go - I want to give big, big thumbs up.

It's the:
Renn Shop in Santa Clara
1423 Laurelwood Rd.

Marvin, the owner of this one-man Porsche shop, started the business about 2 years ago, after several years working at dealerships (Carlsen and Stevens Creek, if I recall correctly). Marvin's shop is squeaky clean. He knows everything about Porsches. He is detailed and very careful with your car. I had him do the pre-purchase inspection and was so impressed with his work, I went right back for 15K service, brake fluids flush, and e-brake adjustment. He took his time to make sure the work was done perfectly. He re-inspected the car in detail (4 page long checklist). He showed me all the old parts. He polished up my car. He even replaced a missing gas cap leash free-of-charge. He takes time to explain EVERYTHING and I end up feeling guilty for taking up so much of his time.

You can also see the high recommendation and numerous perfect feedbacks on yelp too...
The RennShop Inc - Santa Clara, CA

If you're in the SIlicon Valley and looking to do work on your Porsche or looking to get a pre-purchase inspection, you will be very happy with his work. I have not been so enthused with finding a trusted mechanic before.

Marvin is the best.

Your name wouldn't be Marvin by any chance, would it? J/K, thanks for posting, I've never heard of this shop before. I'll have to check it out.
