How did you determine that the cap is bad? If it is, it needs to be replaced with the same type. Being in a CDI circuit, it probably is a film type capacitor that is rated to handle high peak currents. All capacitors are not created equal even when they have the same voltage and capacitance ratings.

Since he is in Holland, perhaps these distributors are not too useful for him. Maybe one of the guys that do the rebuilds can sell him the correct one.

I order One 630v 1.5uF, it's the limit that fit.
It is a polyester-film type.

That is why one should show location in their profile or signature block...

Well, I didn't know the requester was in Holland. In the US & Canada, I would check out the (3) sources I use for electronic components:

Digikey DigiKey Corp. | Electronic Components Distributor | United States Home Page
Newark Electronics US - Electronic Components Distributor | Newark.com
Allied Electronics Allied Electronics - Electronic Components Distribution

I didn't know where he was either, but his native language did not seem to be English. So I just looked up his previous posts, where I found the info I needed. BTW, just finished placing an order on Digikey, one of my favourite suppliers. The big trick with capacitors is to be able to determine the exact replacement. There are tons of characteristics to match, so getting the correct part is never easy.

You could try a Flux Capacitor. They are good for 1.21 GigaWatts. But be sure to stay away from 88 mph.

I'm sorry guys, it had to be said.
