Sad Porsche fire

http://www.ohio.com/news/top_stories/33428289.html

Looks like a 962 and possibly another Porsche.

It was it the semi a few years ago at the OVR DE at Mid-Ohio but he never got it out. He was driving an Indy car that Sarah Fisher had driven. I was hoping all weekend long that the 962 would make an appearance! It was black if I remember correctly.

Had seen the car a number of times at Road America for events...truly a sad loss.

I have also seen Hap at the track with that car many years ago. What a loss!

Hey Mark,
How is the Resto going? Saw Kelly the other day and he told me they were working on it. Too bad about the 993!

That would suck! The sister car to that one belongs to Nick Mason, the drummer of Pink Floyd.

I don't know Don Stiles but I did hear about that fire as it is maybe 5 miles from my house. A friend of mine "had" three storage units full of stuff. He lost two vehicles and a lot of personal stuff. He lost a Toyota 4-Runner and a vintage pickup truck.

My friend said that the 962's rollcage was about the only recognizable remainder.

I apologize for reviving this post, but I just learned of this tragedy today. JMatta, the pic you posted is not the car that was destroyed.
