Charcoal Canister?

Would someone be so kind as to tell me where to find the Charcoal Canister in an '89 Targa?

I can find it in the parts diagram but I don't see it in the car (it's probably right under my nose!)

Thanks.

Hiding up in the passenger side rear fender well. Above the oil line thermostat housing.

Thanks Kurt, I'm trying to track down a fuel odor in the cabin. Non of the high pressure lines seem to be leaky.

A lot of people remove these for what-ever reason.

If you can't find yours I've got one for sale from my '82 SC for cheap, $20 shipped to you

PM me if interested. I take paypal

check for old, brittle vapor hoses

& do a search on these keywords - many threads on this with pics too

also:

- check screws on gas tank sensor
- cracks in plastic box vapor reservoir under dash (get to from trunk side)
- gas tank filler seals

Good luck
