Need Help 02 sensor

Oxygen Sensor for my 85 Porsche 911 Carrera issue.
I had to replace my catalytic converter and the oxygen sensor. The old O2 had seized up in the old Cat.The old O2 had just one black wire to it. I ordered a new Bosch OME Oxygen Sensor and it came with 3 wires (one single black plug….ground I guess) and (one two prong plug white and black). I found where the single (ground wire?) went the ground headed to the DME ground. I would assume that the other two prong plug should go somewhere in the eng compartment. I have look hard for a plug with one green wire and one yellow wire (going by my electrical wiring diagram). I can't even find any wires not being used. Any ideas

I forgot to mention that my car is a Euro. Maybe thats why I can't find the yellow and green plug wire.
What do you think?
Thanks
Brian

85 carrera has a 3 wire o2 sensor. One wire is the sensor the other two wires are to heat the sensor. I don't know why your 85 had a 1 wire sensor installed. There should be two plug receptacles in the engine compartment one for the 2 heater wires (two white wires) and one for the sensor wire. Maybe someone installed a 1 wire o2 not knowing it was supposed a three wire sensor.

A one wire sensor should work provided it is connected properly, as should a 'three wire' connected as a 'one wire'. The heater circuit just makes the sensor get to operating temperature more quickly, and therefore cuts emissions when the engine is cold. Once it's warm you should be fine.

So, if you have all three wires there, as you should, connect them all. But alternatively you can use the three wire as a one wire. I think...

a one wire bosch from any parts store will work fine, and will last longer, plus they are only 20 bucks. the heated sensor is not really necc. and some cost big bucks.
