Ok, Still in the middle of my strip-for-paint project. I need to remove the doors. I was wondering if it would be easier to remove the door pins instead of unbolting the whole hinge?
I guess my thinking is that if I just take out the pin, the door will still be aligned the same when it is reinstalled... Any suggestions? Ben.... 80SC "EURO" Coupe |

YES! You are correct sir. Tap the pins out (don't drop that door!) and you will retain your alignment.

yes, remove the pins. alignment stays, and you don't have damaged paint around the hinge bolts. use a helper when you reinstall it so not to chip paint.
