Electrical help with Electromotive wiring please

I'm running the wires for the two sets of Electromotive HPV-1 coils and hit a snag because the PO of the motor used relays that are different than what is in the drawings.

The wiring on the drawings is -

The relays (they are not identical but close) are this -

Spades are labeled:
#1 - Center
#2 - Left bottom
#3 - Left top
#4 - Right top
#5 - Right bottom - Which I assume is ground on both as I never removed the ground wires..

Can one of you electrical geniuses tell me what terminals on my relays relate to the 4 in the drawing? I suppose I should just contact Electromotive and get the correct relays but these "were" working...

On another note, there is a red wire that the PO spliced a black wire on coming out of the main harness, any clue where that went?

Thanks for any assistance!

I have never seen the relays PO used. Unless you can identify or find a connection diagram for them, I don't think we can help you.

The ones on the diagram are common, are available at automotive stores, and even Radio Shack. You don't need to order from Electromotive.

12VDC/40A SPST Automotive Relay - RadioShack.com

Edit: If you are comfortable with a volt-ohm meter, we could guide you through identifying the terminals. Basically the power and ground for the coil will have some resistance, but not be a short circuit. These will correspond to 86 & 85. Then 87 & 30 will measure no continuity (infinite ohms) until power&ground is applied to 86 & 85.

Thanks Dad911, I just ordered 2 Bosch relays online after doing some reading, but I may just pop over to Radio Shack tomorrow to see what they have and keep the others as spares when they arrive.. considering they were under $20 including UPS... The ones in the pic are marked "USA", that's it... bet they are out of a 71 Rambler.

Any idea on the red/now black bare wire?
