Slotted socket size

Can anyone advise what size the slotted socket (Part #000 721 922 21) is for removing a head temperature sender on an 84 Carrera?
Thanks in advance.

14mm works on most of them. Just cut it and take it off with a socket.

13mm on the early single pin style and 14mm on the two pin updated ones. cut the wire and use a deep socket and long extension. you will need a slotted 14mm socket to install. do not overtighten or it can shear off. use a disc cutter to slot a standard deep socket. they get a little flexy when you cut them, so cut just enough so you don't kink or damage the wire.

Do a search and look for some photos of the way to cut the socket. It is easy to cut up a cheap China socket but don't cut of too much. Seeing how other cut theirs was a big help. If you have never seen one they are not just a simple slot on the side of a socket.
