Post Sock Type Air Filters for MFI?

Has anyone seen sock type air filters that that would fit 73 911S MFI stacks?

Thanks

Brad

You mean foam filters?

Try here:

Then click the Porsche link.

TWM (and people who have done it on their cars) told me that these ITG filters can be made to work on MFI cars. They are purportedly far superior to K&N style gauze filters.

Aha! Found what I'm looking for:

http://www.twminduction.com/Filter/FilterPanelsSocks.html

now the question is, will these fit over the MFI stacks? Anyone know the diameter of these stacks? There are two sizes of socks:

length 115mm x inner diameter 75mm
length 152mm x inner diameter 88mm

anyone know off hand the outer diameter of the MFI stacks? I think I'll go measure them tonite

Reason I'm looking at these? I drove my car around the block with the air box off. Boy its loud, but sounds beastly - I like it! I figure if I pull the air box I'll either do a sock or the 2 filters that sit on top of either bank.

Brad

P.S. just thought of something, if I rev my car when at idle, after a while it tends to get a little rich and occasionally backfires through the stacks, ummm you think that might be bad for a foam air sock over the stack? hmmm

I think Jack O has a picture of the larger ones on a car from Cambria on his website:
