OK, maybe a stupid question but will a 993 tail
fit on a Carrera? I'm 90% sure the answer is no, but thought I'd check since I've never done it.
Have an opportunity to pick up a one piece 3.8RS tail/ engine lid from a 993. Want a 3.8RS tail for my '86. If it was just the tail to bolt to the engine lid, no big deal. But I'm pretty confident the 993 lid won't fit a 911. Or am I wrong?

the 993 lid does not fit a Carrera 911.

I've got a fiberglass Getty 3.8 tail for a Carrera in GP white that I'm selling. I have the complete tail with the adjustable wing element. I also have plates and a 60" wing that attach to it if you are racing. I was going to place the ad tomorrow when I download the pics from my phone. Asking $600 for the tail and $600 for the large wing and uprights. If you are interested send me a PM. Thanks.

fully disassembled, blasted, customized and restored 75 targa with factory hard top, 993 style turbo ft fenders, steel flares, C2 bumpers and rockers, 82 3.0 sc 9.5/1 engine with PMS flywheel, 964 cams, flowed heads, ssi's short geared 915 w/lsd, polybronze, bilstein,working lambda, modified and highly tuned cis, tensioners, pop valve, backdated exhaust and heater, 2300 lbs. no bolt left untouched. 1970 911E. Nice car but needs a re-do. |
