Familiar/or thoughts on this car.
Hello everyone,
I have missed my turbo since selling it, I have found one somewhat close to me for sale on Yahoo here is the link. I would appreciate comments if you notice anything I always seem to miss something that you guys see jumping right out. Thanks in advance, Todd ![]() Details of Used 1984 Porsche 911, Tampa, FL - Yahoo! Autos |

All 930's until 1989 came with 4 speeds. Car looks really nice, that's a lot of money for an 84 Euro 930 though. There was an 89 on here not long ago for that money.

My thoughts as well on the price, but it is at a dealer so I think there might be some movement on the price, is is a little high but is close enough for me to drive and pick up so would save me some on the shipping cost. Todd ![]() |

Hi Phil, I had never used Yahoo auto before but actually there are quite a lot of cars listed on there. I like everything about this one but I think the price is a little on the high side, I have requested any record information on the car from the dealer and have not heard anything back. I dont mind paying a little more for a well documented car that I can look over and pick up in person to save shipping and PPI money on so this one might balance out. I think a dealer would be willing to bend a little on price as well.

If you buy it find yourself a K27 (or it's modern equivalent) and Tial wastegate for it. I had a Euro and it transformed the car.

I just received the following reply in my request for additional info:
Hi Todd....Based on our avainlable information this more that likely is a tw owner vehicle with the original owner living in Texas, Wisconsin and Illinois until 2005 when It was sold and registered to it's last owner in Hollywood, Florida, until we found it in late September.... We do not have any service history , but based on our inspection and the inspection of a local "high performance" Porsche service center, here in Tampa, "Vortex Motorsports".... the car is in very sound condition....we perform all necessary maintenance on every thing we sell. It is our goal that when a client purchases a vehicle from our inventory, that they not expect to spend any monies maintaining or servicing their "new" vehicle, whether it be 2 years old or 25 years old..... The dealer which we received the vehicle from indicated to us that he had recently spent approximately $3,000 repairing oil leaks, which are very common on the older Porsches..... Tomorrow, I can provide you additional photo's including many of the undercarriage if you wish. Further it is our educated opinion that this car has absolutely no signs of corrosion, no signs of previous body damage and appears to be 100 % mechanically stock, not having been modified or raced. And based on the general condition of all of the plastic and rubber moldings and appliques, probably garage kept. Please let me know how I might earn your trust and your business. I have a personal friend whom is very automobile sav-vy in the Savannah area whom shares the same area code as your telephone number should you wish to check on my credibility Makes you step back and say, hmmmm |

The mileage of a Euro is always in question and lots of times for good reason as I lived through the importation and federalizing of the home built euros

Sounds better than the typical dealer but that is a lot for a 25 yo car.

I'd be concerned about the missing wheels, and I don't like red, but if neither of those bother you, and the car turns out to be in very good condition appropriate for the relatively low miles, then so what if it costs you 32.5? You *may* be able to find an equal car for 28 at some point, but at the 25 point there won't be many good ones available. How bad do you want a 930?
So, if it checks out good, and you like the red, and you can live without Fuchs and you really need a 930 then I'd go look at it anyway. My 0.02

pelican
Check out the 87 Phil has on Pelican. Very nice car, properly better maintained than this red one. I was corresponding with him, and is very good to talk to.
