Whats the best way to clean a oil tank.
I have check around and none of the radiators shops around have vats anymore. Thanks to the EPA. Any help would be great thanks.

These should be ultrasonically cleaned and we send them to Pacific Oil cooler in CA.

I am prepping one for a hopefully soon-ish to be completed restoration. I used lacquer thinner, duct tapped the opening and did 5 wash/soak cycles. I slid a dozen or so mini christmas lights inside to illuminate the interior I looked threw each of the openings and found that the interior was very clean. I also cleaned the magnetic drain plug each time. On the 5 th washout there were no metallic shaving or debris. Each wash became clearer and clearer.
Maybe I was lucky but I was impatient and wanted to see how clean I could get it. I know this is a risk to a new $12K rebuild but like I wrote, looking inside from the different vantage holes nothing but clean metal and clear laq thinner
