Mike, great shot, I will wait until tomorrow to do it. Have to get up at 4am. But thanks again that will be first on the list. I know some say a leak down but one was done less then a year ago and all was fine but will do one step at a time.

Well gents, problem solved thanks to you all. Upon checking really close today the throttle plate was not opening all the way, yesterday I thought about a quarter of an inch, it was almost a Half an inch. Ajusted the ball nut as per Mikes photo, mine was extremly rusted, had to soak a while in wd 40 and then it took 5 complete turns. Proceeded to the full throttle switch it was getting 5 volts but no continuity unless I smashed on the gas pedal, ajusted that and went for a ride. Different car by far!!! Thanks again Mike and all.

Good that is what it was. Like those easy fixes:D.
Help anytime I can, as with everybody here. |
Congrats! It always feels good when the car goes faster after working on it :D

Great news!

That's great news - Steve Wong and I talked about this in length a few years ago - he estimates about 30-40 are not engaging the WOT switch - like you - the car feels sluggish.
One of the first things I did with my car - it makes a huge difference! Quote:

Nice to hear you found some power on the table, you might have more just waiting for you to find. If the wife starts screaming next time your out on a drive your almost there.;)
All the best |
