rent/borrow RMS tool in NY

I need to replace the RMS on my '02 C4S and would like to see if anybody who has the special tool is willing to rent or borrow it to me. I will of course pay for shipping if needed and will give a deposit as well. I am located in Rye, NY

is it so specialized that you can't use a rubber hammer? not being a water cooled shop, i wouldn't know.

to get the seal in i would slowly tap it in maybe using a rubber mallet like John suggests and use a piece of plastic sewer pipe that will go over the crank end and cover the seal at the outer edge. would a 4 inch piece work?

Depth and parallelism are extremely critical with the new design seal. The new tool is spring loaded and install to 13 mm depth (I think) . New design seal is not like conventional radial lip seal.
