Spektr Windows - Help Contacting

I hope to gain your help in resolving a delivery issue that I have with Spektr, the manufacturers and suppliers of 'R' Windows amongst other things.

I ordered and paid for goods in August, and despite several promised delivery dates, they have not arrived.

Scott at Spektr is a pleasant person, and is always engaging and helpful on the phone, but then doesn't follow through on his promises - I see this as a case of a good engineer but a lousy business person (unlikely perhaps Chuck at ER and Dave at TRE).

I have repeatedly called and e-mailed Scott, and when I rang today I got a voicemail system saying they are closed for a few days whilst getting over the flu - but it has said that for over two weeks now !

Before I go to Visa and instigate a chargeback process, I want to give Scott one last chance to actually ship me the goods that I bought and paid for three months ago.

So, does anyone on here know Scott, and can they tell him there is a frustrated customer that wants to give him the benefit of the doubt - but I need my windows ?

If all this fails, and I have openly tried to help him through the community that he serves, then I will have no choice but to go to Visa for a chargeback, as I need the money to pay another supplier.

Talking of other suppliers, where can I get the R Style windows and vents ?

Ian

One thing that might not be apparent on the other side of the pond is that in the US we are having the Thanksgiving holiday. Nothing was open yesterday (the actual day of Thanksgiving) and today (Friday) is a day off for almost everyone except people in retail stores. A very large percentage of people have the whole week off and most people here don't expect much to get done this week. This is almost as big a holiday as Christmas...

Try them on Monday. That will be "lets catch up with all the work" day for lots of people.

-> Little fun facts for the people outside of the US:
- The Wednesday before Thanksgiving is the busiest travel day of the year in the US. People are flying and driving "home" to be with their families for Thanksgiving dinner.
- The Friday after Thanksgiving is called "Black Friday" but it isn't a bad thing. It is the biggest shopping day of the year as people go crazy buying gifts for Christmas. There are some stores that open at midnight and there are a bunch of stores that open at early hours like 4 or 6 AM. The "Black" in Black Friday refers to black ink (as in profit). It is the day that lots of retailers expect to turn a profit for the year. (I haven't heard of anyone being trampled to death this year!)

Thanks Quicksilver, but I am well up on Thanksgiving, working as I do for a US Company and having visited the US a few times.

I have been in touch with Scott by phone and e-mail over the past three months, and today was my last day to give him a chance to ship to me, before going the Visa Chargeback route.

I want the product, but just cannot seem to get the supplier to ship it to me - very frustrating, but he may have a personal issue that I am nit aware of, so thought I would seek the assistance of the board here first.

I know that awhile back he relocated his business and since then there has been basically nothing from him for a majority of people looking for his products. GT Racing goes through him for their parts, so if you can't get them directly, Hank will tell you that he's not going to allow orders for those parts.

But check with Hank too just to be sure the issue hasn't been resolved.

Thanks for your help.

I will contact GT Racing (of course the prices are more than buying direct, but at least they might actually have some to sell to me) and Plastics in the UK.

Ian,
I will never do business with them again. They took months to get me my rear window after I had paid for it. I left messages and emails and had written off the money when I got a miraculous phone call. Insane.
