Door stop for 71 confusion

I'm confused on which door stop will fit my 71. Reading Pelicans website apparently 70-71s came with either 1.5" or 1.75" mounting hole spacing. Mine has 1.5" spacing so I ordered the 901 531 035 20 earlier style. It does have the 1.5" spacing but the end of the arm is a clevis which will not mate with the clevis on the body. The later style 911 531 957 00 has the straight tab on the arm, but evidently has 1.75" hole spacing.
Any ideas on what part number I should buy to solve this?
I'm 99% confident my doors are original. My next step is to pull the door stops on my car and look for a part number, but it's a little inaccessible now at the paint shop so I'm hoping someone has the answer.
I guess another option is to crush the clevis together on the new stops and create a straight tab?

Thanks,

I mounted a long router bit on my Dremel, went into the door, and expanded my mounting holes to 1.75".
