I'm Fuched!

Well, it finally warmed up enough in Colorado for me to brave the unheated garage and mount the Fuchs I acquired off of the classifieds last month onto the '75.

Here's some before (with the cookies that came on the car) and after shots. The centercaps on the Fuchs are from the cookies. If anyone has some black centers that they want to sell (approximately 2 3/4" diameter to fit inside the wheels, about 3" on the outside of the cap), let me know.

Before:

And after:

Can't wait to take a spin, but since snow is in the forecast, it will be awhile!

looks nice Tom, you can just shoot those centers with any black satin paint, same with lugnuts.

Are you interested in selling your cookies? are they 7x15 all around?

there has been dozens of posts recommending the Rustoleum Matte Black, IIRC...give the caps a good spray, and you're done.

Both cars look fantastic with the wheel change...these cars just seem to pop with a good set of Foxes.

+1 on the new look for both of the cars.

I switched back to the Fuchs style a couple of years ago.

Look very nice! I never understood the attraction to the cookie cutters. Sort of like minilites on a classic British sports car instead nice chrome/stainless wire wheels.

Thanks for the props, guys. I appreciate the interest in purchasing the cookies, Shaun, but I'm going to hold onto them for now. The tires still have some life left in them and for some reason I just like having a spare set of wheels. I'm looking for black (or other) centercaps to keep the cookies complete and matching with their own centers, so I'll keep my eyes on the classifieds here. I actually thought I'd found a set, but no go.

Ruby - great to see the transformation on your car. I'd considered going with twists as I'd been seeing them for cheap in the local classifieds. But now I'm glad I stuck to my guns and went with the fuchs. I'd post some more photos, but it's snowing now and going to keep it up through the week. I'll get the car out of the garage when we have our January thaw.

Wayne - your car looks sweet, too! I guess there's just something about the fuchs that works with our cars!

Wow....What a difference....

Both cars look FANTASTIC!!!!...Cookie Cutters are not bad, but the Fuchs you put on your car really look sharp in my opinion...!!

Ferrell, what a difference just changing wheels makes...

Sorry I missed you guys at the Avenues today...Tom told me your car looks incredible with the Fuchs.....

Thanks Craig - missed seeing you there. Thanks to Stormmaster for redoing his car so the Fuchs were available and local!

Thanks Bill, it wasn't the same today without the yellow 356 in the mix.
