I just started tearing it down. Not sure if I should part it out or rebuid and sell as a running engine.

What would you do?

Sell it to someone looking to reunite a 71 S with a 71 S motor

I'd fix it and put it your 1970 T Targa. If you think you might want to make a deal involving a trade for the 3.0 that's in my 1971 coupe, let me know. Tom

Sell it to me and I’ll rebuild it as a Pelican Project and then reunite it to an appropriate ‘70S.

Best,
Grady

For someone who owns more than one of the earlier cars - it's not clear why you would encourage a swap for a 3.2 or 3.6 motor....

Meaning, does the 2.2 motor in your application offer enough bang for the buck ?

Anyway, entertaining to see the various PM's sent willing to buy it at closeout...Stand firm to that motor and someone will eventually pony up !

how much do you want for the engine?

BK911 12-07-2009 05:26 AM

The engine is not for sale.

I am tearing it down, cleaning and inspecting, and then I will decide what to do with it. I will probably part it out.

Thanks for all the emails. Some actually helped!
