Duel Batteries

I haven't been able to turn much up through any searches here or internet on an upgraded alternator. So, I think my next best alternative is going to be running a duel batter system with an isolator. Wondering if any of you have insight on the subject. The reason for this modification is because of an upgraded audio system. I really don't want to burn up my charging system or do damage to the car. So, looking for your advice and opinion. I know the best thing would be not to screw with having a high powered audio system. BUT, I found some really high end vintage audio gear along with some I already had of the same period as the car so I thought it would be really neat. BESIDES I really like great sounding audio. This WILL NOT be a bass heavy younger generation bass heavy system, yet, an extremely high fidelity one. Thanks gang and I hope everyone has a safe and Happy Holiday season!

I think Aase has some sort of australian upgrade alternator with integrated voltage regulator. Maybe our host has them now or can get them. I've seen ads in back of excellence.

Even with a bigger or dual batteries, you are still going to need to charge them. How many amps does the Audio system draw? Might be less of a problem during the day when you're not using lights. Turn down the volume at night...
