What oil related items are behind the right rear tire? Most everything...
The oil tank. Oil cooling lines. Oil return hose. Oil filter. Oil level gauge. Drain plug. Etc... You need to completely clean everything so you can see clearly where it is coming from. It could even be coming from on top of the engine.

I just had the same problem. It was the oil return line. It was finger tight. Had to remove the heat exchanger. However the entire repair took about an hour.

Heres a picture and a bit more explanation:
![]() It's been sitting now about a week. the oil goes under the car. The only place where there is no oil is behind the passenger tire and about a foot to the left. Other than that it's like a big ole rectangle of oil spill! I have the 74 OME Headers on by the way. If it ever warms up here in Colorado I'll get under there and try to see if the oil return line is loosened. Can that actually rattle itself loose?? |

that's typical of an oil return tube leak, after sitting a week. look at both ends of all the tubes with an inspection mirror and a flashlight. leakers have obvious oil collecting at the bottom of the o-ring area. and if you can turn the tube easily with your fingers, it's a leaker.
