I would like to know if the rear windscreen is helpful in reducing the top down wind and if there is more than one option besides the one made by Porsche? Where is the best place to buy one?
Thanks, Paul |

Performance products sells one, but doesn't say for what years cab...looked like they had it on a 996. Obviously there are differences in each make--try performance products

I built one for my 72. It makes a huge difference. You can hear the stereo better and if it gets cold, the heat is more effective. You don't feel like you've been beaten with reeds after a long trip either. You can still buy the factory unit I think, but only for the electric top after 91. Which seems strange because all the tops after 85 are very similar, manual or electric.

I am using wind baffle in my 84 Cab. http://www.windbaffle.com/installation.htm
I have to punch 2 holes in the boot for the tension bar pads. It makes a big difference on noise and comfort. The back seat will be useless for people. I paid over $200 for it but saw it later at a car show for less. Oh well. ------------------ 1984 911 Cabriolet |
