Tires for BBS 16 inch wheels?

my turbolook slopenose has BBS 16 inch wheels on it. i need to get a wrench to get the center caps off, and will pull them from the car to see if the actual wheel sizes are stamped inside. current tires are 225/45/16 front , and 245/45/16 rear.

i cannot seem to find any good tires in these sizes anymore, in matched sets. i dont want to run 2 different tire manufactures tires at the same time for obvious reasons.

so where do you guys with 16 inch BBS wheels get freaking tires at?

i was thinking a 205 in the front, but was told a 225, or 235 front with a 265(!!!) rear would be "better".

now i am freaking confused!!!!!

help?

Reaper, I have a Turbo-Look too.

Stock sizes are 205/55/16 F and 245/45/16 R

There are lots of 205s out there, but 245 is a killer.

Fuzion (by Bridgestone) has it in their ZRi high-performance tire, and I think Toyo also carries it in their T1R.

It's not getting any easier to find tires for this car.

I have the same issue. My current set-up is: fronts 225/45/16 and rears 315/40/16. I'd be interested in whar others are running.

Thanks. 265/45/16 may be an adequate replacement for 315/40/16, since the 265 may need to stretch a bit to fit the 12 inch wheel, therefore the profile would lower a bit.

Tire choices for 16s are getting abysmal. I just bought a set for my 930 and would have preferred more options. I went with 225/50-16 front and 265/45-16 rear. Some pics of those on a Turbo in this thread, project 265/45/16 CUMho, lower, bumpsteer, corner balance, align

Same here but my rears are 10". My car is on the first page. Love the tires BTW.

I've been researching this issue too. 16s are getting very hard to find in anything other than the original sizes. The Toyo T1R seems to be the best choice left, and it does sound like a great tire. The only problem is TireRack doesn't carry Toyos. Google Toyo T1R and you'll find several other suppliers.

installed 4 kumho AST 225/50/16 front, 245/50/16 rear. my wheels are 8's in the front, 9's in the rear. i still need to lower the front a bit and get an alignment.

the ride is MUCH better than it was with the 8 year old tires.

sorry for the crappy pics, my Nikon has way to many setting for me to remember.
