Aftermarket cat?
Bought this gutted catalytic on ebay. I know they are not supposed to work as well as a test pipe, but this thing looks like it has much less room for back pressure to build than an OEM cat. Anyone know what aftermarket unit this actually is?

looks like the same POS on my SC, they all have that same generic look. I cannot take off the lower valve cover W/O removing the cat because they are oval shaped instead of round like the factory Gillets. I have a factory premuff on there now to escape the problem.

I think it's a DEC or something like that. Oddly enough I bolted the same type back onto my SC thisafternoon. I had it off to weld on a "test port" so I can get the mixture sniffed. Between smogs here in CA I run a euro premuffler.
