911 SC Warm idle issue

I recently purchased a 1983 911 SC. It seems to run greeat and have good acceleration. I have 2 small issues: 1) There seems to be a minimal oil leak while engine is warming up (noticeable as a little smoke and some dripping when stopped) that goes away once engine is warm. It usually starts fine (though it is a little cranky when cold, at times) and idles ok 900 RPM until it is warm and then it idles around 1300 RPM. Any ideas?

How much are you driving the car? If you are not driving it much, that could all be normal. It sounds like if you keep it warm it won't leak oil My SC does all kinds of funny stuff until I drive three days in a row, then everything seems to work better. If you have been driving it a lot, maybe it is the timing or the air fuel ratio.

Almost forgot. Take a look at thread, "I apologize, too!" and search "911 SC Warm Idle". You'll find all kinds of info.
