door handle question
 

the po messed up one of my door handles and i am wondering about making a repair. the actual place the key enters on one side has been... well enlarged. the hole been widened to about 3x it's normal size, almost like someone tried sticking a large flathead screwdriver into it. the door still functions properly and i have had no problems but it is an eyesore and i would like to make it normal again. any thoughts?

You need a new stainless "face plate" or cap for the lock cylinder.

You can remove the door handle from the car and take it to a lock smith or the dealer for replacement. I'll bet the spring loaded "door" in the key hole is bungled up too.

(If you remove the cylider from the handle be SURE to insert the key first and leave it in or the wafers will fall out).

You may also be able to buy a used lock cylinder in good shape and swap over your wafers in the correct order.
