993 body panel question

just a quickie, from what i hear, 993 turbo bodies were only 2 inches wider in the rear, does that mean the front fenders were carried over from the narrow body? are they EXACTLY the same with, same part numbers maybe? also, how wide were they relative to the previous (76-95) turbo bodies? those used a 9 inch front with 11's out back correct? what were the 993's turbo flares (front and rear) in relation to that?! i know the wheels were 10,s and 8's...is that what they were? so was the previous wide bodies wider? or did porsche just use narrower wheels?

thanks guys!

The front fenders on the narrow 993 and wide 993 are identical as far as shape, flare and proportion. Since the wide 993 uses a different rocker there is a slight difference where the front fender meets the rocker hence the different part nos.

yeah, thats the part i was wondering about...i thought that it might be plastic cap over an already stamped narrow body fender (would have made financial sense)

anybody know if its a cap, or actuall stamped into the fender?

thanks
