DE car?

What does a DE car mean?

I've read it a lot, but no one has ever mentioned what it means.
Thanks!

DE Car normally means a car that has been prepared for Porsche (or other) Club Driver's Education events. They are held on a race track, with an instructor (for beginning students), at speed. The level of preparation can go from horrible to well done.

It usually means: A track-prepped car that is still licensed and driven on the street.

Among racers, it can mean: A track-prepped car that has had significant (expensive) work done to it that makes it illegal to run in Stock class racing. So it can now be run "only" as a DE car.

Scott,
Nope, I haven't bought the 930 yet, and likely won't happen until the Spring. We have winter here in Ontario (LOL!). I think when I retire I'll move to BC to drive my car mostly year round...
Thanks for sending me pics of your ride when you get a chance.

Thanks guys...now I will know what DE car means! HAHA!
Cheers!
