shifter slop?
in my '70T with a 901 (911) 5-speed transmission, the shifter action is not exactly precise. the shift-lever action is mushy if you will. the throws are very long, i am thinking about getting a short-shift kit, but will that most likely clean up the mush? if i replace the shift bushings with urethane bushings, will that help? i'm looking to make it so the shifts are more precise, will the combination of the short-shift kit help alone? thank you!

I would START with the shift coupler located under the access cover which is between the seats. A cheap item compared to other items, that is if a 70 has this-my 72 does-hmmmm
