Cool video I found

I found this on youtube: YouTube - PCA Event at Bridgehampton

Its a 944 at the old Bridgehampton track. At about 30 seconds in he gets blown away by what appears to be a pair of 935's! Enjoy-sorry if this has been found before.

I can imagine that the guy in the 944 was doing the best he could with a $10K budget and a peanut gallery in the right hand seat. The 935 probably requires a $100K budget. So there's no shame in getting stomped. Fun to watch though.

That 944's suspension is very soft- Must still have the squishy stuff the factory put in it.

I race a 944, and have had practice sessions with GT-1 cars. Quite the lesson in "Check your mirrors". I've had Corvettes and Vipers blow past me like that.

The suprising thing is I almost rear-ended a GT-1 Viper in the corners. Right before the main straight is no place to feather the throttle in a 944, but it was either back off, go way off line, or bump the Viper. I backed off for a second or two, and said lots of naughty things under my breath when we hit the straight and he left me in dust.

"The Bridge" was indeed a neat track! I remember that 935 and "The Batmobile" 914. Both drivers still show up at track events from time to time.
