What to place my bum on?

The interior is out of the car. I will recover it all in fresh leather. As you know, it's pretty pricey to do the seats and if I want to think about going with something else now is the time. Once my old ones get all brand newby I'm done on the inside.

I want leather and I want something that I can get covered to match the car. Dark, dark blue.

Would like to put a harness in, it'd be nice if it was set up that way.

Not a full blown racer, don't need an uncomfortable tub.

I've looked around and I dont really know what works in these cars. Anybody like or dislike a particular seat? Stay with my non-sports? Well I think they are non-sports.

RJ, it's a shame you couldn't have, er, sat around, before our President asked you to go play in the sandbox. Were you happy with the seats that came out? Did they serve your needs well? THen, think I'd vote for the old "if it ain't broke" theory. Just hope you have an excellent upholstery guy lined up. Hey, how do you like Humvee seats? (just kidding). Maybe some guys with '87's could post pics? Let you see the differences in seats? Hope it happens. All our support, Paul

Thumbs up

If you're going to do ANY track time, or if you simply enjoy spirited driving now & then, go with sport seats. Porsche sports are perfect for this. I believe your chosen interior artisan can customize the bolstering areas to comfortably stabilize your, uh, bum. Also, I believe a removable harness bar works with these seats - check with your local club's weekend racers.

IMHO, racing buckets are not very comfortable for everyday, or even weekend, road driving (I have them).

Cheers!

Brian, this more of a bump than any criticism of your post. Right now, it would be tough for RJ to attend any track events. He's playing ina giant sandbox at the request of the man living in The White House. That's why I was hoping somebody could post some pics for him...
