Autoglym wheel cleaner?

hello all
Can any members recommend Autoglym wheel cleaner. I'm giving the 'old white lady' a good clean this weekend - the first this year! She is covered in dust! And the wheels as you can see have had a nice coating of brake dust caked onto the spokes, where it should be a nice light grey aluminium finish.

There are so many wheel cleaners on the market, and some are total crap. Please advise, and thank you

I am not familiar with Autoglym. I use and recommend P21S wheel cleaner. it is pH neutral and does a great job. Just make sure the wheels are cold before you spray it on. Others will make other recommendations, I'm sure.

Another vote for P21S here. Great stuff and I believe it is the wheel cleaner recommended by Porsche.

I think Autoglym wax is excellent, I'd bet the wheel cleaner is also very good.

hello again
Thanks very much for that. I'll have to see if I can get hold of this over here in uk. Autoglym body wax, as used and recommended by Rolls Royce and - don't laugh - also by her Majesty the queen, by appointment to.

What's wrong with plain old car wash soap? You don't want to use something that's more agressive than you need, and it needs to rinse off completely.

Have to agree with RUSNAK here.

I use Autoglym on my everyday car (2010 VW Passat) and it works great - spray on, hose off. As it's a chemical cleaner though I wouldn't put it on my Fuch's. Having said that the rims on my SC are polished not anodized so I might need to be a bit more careful.

For some reason I want to get my Passat washed as quickly as I can, but the SC can take me a couple of hours without even so much as a grimace

Normally I just use car shampoo and a good brush. Although, now and again I need something a little stronger as that brake dust, over a length of time will stick down good. As you can see, my wheels have been de-anodised and paint removed from centres. Only the rim and raised petals are polished, the rest is left natural.
