Question 17" Cups for 1966???

Long time no write...
My P-car is now having her winter rest
However, I'm improving (?) her in some ways.
One of the things to improve the outlook is to get new 17" Cup wheels... maybe. My studies now shows that there are wheels with two different offsets. One of my sources says they won't fit my narrow-rear Porsche, the other says one of them fits. Any of you have any experiences on this? The wheels don't have to be too wide... just to fit...

Pics of my car from the web site...

You will need SC flares front and rear to clear these. The factory cup wheels will need spacers to fit your ride. After market versions are available with the proper offset, but they are much heavier.

Thanks Clark,

So, you're saying that there are indeed wheels (even heavier) available for narrow-rear PCar too? I don't wish to have the wider flares...

Nope, you'll need at least SC flares to fit them. They are 7" and 9" in width, so they are too wide for your narrow body car.

Cute car! It will look awsome with 17" Cup wheels.

Ummm, small question. When I was in the Greek islands a couple of years ago I met a number of girls from Finland. They spoke the most perfect and beautiful english and were inclredibly good looking. The one I most liked had a wild mop of curly platinum blond hair. The girls told me that in Finland there are more women than men and men are highly in demand - I assumed they were telling me little white lies for their own amusement. What are your thoughts?

Bill,

Good looking Finnish women... true. Of course my wife's the best...

There are indeed more women in Finland, something like 50,2 %... i.e. they lied you a bit...

Anyway, our country is beautiful... wish we had longer summers to drive the PCars...

Before you give up on putting after market cup wheels on your car, the 17x7.5 may fit the rear ok, of course you will probably have to roll the front lips, I think the offset of 23mm is whats needed, I had a friend put these on a narrow body, But I cant remember what year it was, Kevin speedwheel.net

I think Bo from Sweden already tried fitting 17 inch cup1 wheels to his 1973 Targa. It didn't function. The narrow fenders didn't provide enough room as far as I can remember. He runs Fuchs of some sort now.
