Cleaned my garage this weekend!!! (gratuitous Porsche pics enclosed)

After several months of just toiling away on the Boxster book, I had to clean house in order to make more room and also to get some pickup shots for the book. Basic 3-car garage turned into a two-car bay. The 959 on the left, and the "Boxster Carrera" on the right. Boxster engine getting a camshaft replacement on the engine stand. Also wifey Boxster in the driveway.

Feels good to be clean and organized again.

My 911 has been evicted from the garage so I can reorganize. Today is a dump run. The box of my 3/4 ton truck is packed with stuff I'm tired of having take up space in the garage.

For the first time in a few years, there are no Porsches in my garage (They are sitting in hangars out at the airport).

Hi Wayne;

Thanks for sharing the pics... that's an awesome pcar line-up.

I have to say I'm surprised that you don't have a car lift in your garage. I'm sure you've done many engine drops in the past, have you done any at home? If so, is there any special jack or stands you use in order to drop the engine safely? Any specialty jacks I should know of?

I'm starting with my house, but my "organization" campaign is destined to move to the garage soon. I used to be okay with clutter, but it drives me batty now.

Funny. The lift is under the 959 (temporary scissors lift until I can get my ceiling clearance modified in the garage).

I use the AC Hydraulic jack which is fantastic, but not available currently in the US. We're working on getting them imported again - the US distributor went out of business a year or so ago.

Wayne -
What I can't figure out is that you have two cars in the garage and wifey's is outside
You are the Man!

I somehow pictured a man with a 959 having a bigger garage. Maybe he has one offsite with a bunch of minions wrenching for him

+1 shows you don't have to be Bill Gates to own a 959

Hi Wayne:

Nice garage! How high does the ceiling have to be to fully utilize a scissor lift? I may be able to raise the roof of my garage enough to make it work.
