Wow, an RS on eBay! sorta...

Boy, I sure don't remember RS's looking like this, I must have a bad memory... Those cookie cutters are just like the wheels on the Targa Florio cars, right?! Ugh!

I don't think so.

Hey turbo, that's a nice look'n ride you got there.

[edit]
Wow. Just checked out you homepage. That IS one nice ride you have.

turbo dave 11-13-2001 07:05 PM

Rustbucket, thanks! Actually, I shouldn't ***** about the eBay car- mine is a '73 T with an S badge on the lid, although that's coming off this winter. At least the guy I bought it from didn't pretend it was a $75k, 210hp replica!

It's too bad they do that crap- a '71 T is a pretty respectable car as is, just clean it up and get it mechanically solid, and it would beat the hell out of any $5000 Toyota or Honda out there!

I have over $6800 invested in this car at wholesale cost and I have been doing this to older 911's for almost 10 years. However, because of previous high bidder's bad checks and the NEED TO SELL, I have set the reserve more than $2K below this figure. So, BID TO BUY.
This has bad news all over it. Pretty slippery sounding.

One serious piece of crap. I wonder if he has ever seen an RS.:(

It's nice to see someone with such a love for the 73 RS and such painstaking attention to detail.

That ducktail really transforms a crumbling T into a collectible, huh?

;)

And my offer is $2500 and I won't back off!

Good luck,

Still a heck of deal for $4500... Maybe.

This is one of those cars I would have to see and drive to actually put a value on it.

Those little rust bubbles can be very expensive.

And of course an RS it is not... Or even close!

wheels

What size wheels and tires are you running turbo? Nice ride...

turbo dave 11-14-2001 11:35 AM

not_sure,
thanks for the compliment! The wheels are 15" x 7" Fuchs, the tires are 215/50-15's. I'm thinking 215/55-15's when these wear out, they look a little small to me, although that size is probably pretty rare...

I just checked your website, and have to return the compliment. The combination of the red with the dark windows and tail looks really aggressive. Nice ride!
