Can someone tell me if this heater switch is complete. I found it loose under those heater control levers and I am trying to figure how to reinstall it. What is the originally orientation of this part under those levers.
Not listed in my Parts reference catalog; part # is 911 613 525 00
Thanks

Do a search on this BB for "Heater control question (switch location)" - the thread is only a few days old. A member named Cary posted a picture of this switch as installed in a 77 Euro Carrera w/ 3.2. The picture isn't great, but I bet you could e mail Cary for more info.

Hope this helps ...

Yes, it's complete. What do you mean by loose ? Were the yellow wires still a attached ?
With the heater levers in the off/down position the little copper contacts are open.

The "nipple" fits it a slot on the hand brake assembly.
Hope this helps.

Here is a JPEG from the Extra Cooling Tech article.

Thanks for the reply and the very good picture. Found loose means to me that the switch was not located at the position seen on the picture but hanging by the two yellow wires under the passenger seat. So the rear blower is always ON. What I was trying to figure is how this switch is attached to the hand brake little fitting.

Merci!

Did the "wings" break off the snap-in nipple ? That switch is pretty brittle.

I put a "dab" of that new auto GOOP to keep mine in place.
It's working great.

Glad I could help. The JPEG came from the Pelican Tech Article.
I just doctored it up a little.
