can alusil cylinders be honed?

I am rebuilding my 3.0 liter sc engine and I was wondering if there is any preferred way to refinish the cylinder walls or do i have to take them to a shop?

Norm

if they're not all scratched and worn out, leave them alone. honing kills them. rings only. goetze brand. of course anyone wishing to reuse old P+Cs instead of replacing them, has conceded the fact that the re-ring job may not be all you hope it to be. usually works out, but you never know until you put some miles on.
