Late introduction and hello!

Hello fellow Pelicans;
I have been registered here for a while but never introduced myself. I am Robert from Tucson Arizona and I purchased a 1980 911 SC 2 years ago. 138000 miles and so far no mechanical issues. The car was originally brown. Buying this car has been a dream come true since the age of 14. I am now 46. Does anyone know a source for Porsche related stickers? I am looking for Porsche racing stickers and the old style crest sticker to put on my toolbox at work to piss off all of the musclecar guys I work with. I have looked online but have not found any older stuff. Thanks

Thanks. I found a few on E-bay that I am bidding on but most of it is related to the newer cars. I am also looking forward to getting a coveted Pelican sticker with my order next week. I am going to order a new hi/low beam switch and a relay kit for my headlights.

MikeZ on this board is a well known source for all kinds of stickers. He can most likeley get you anything you want.

And also, welcome, nice car!
Is that an aftermarket spoiler? Do you have more pics of it? (Whale tails or Duck tails fit our impactbumpers best IMO)

Welcome, & nice looking car! Was that you I saw parked in the golf course lot at Reid Park the other day?

Thanks Guys.
Barrpete, no that wasn't me. I live on the Northwest side of town near Linda Vista & Camino De Oeste.
Geronimo '74, I am not sure which tail this is. It was on the car when I bought it. I would actually like to put a stock deck lid on and get rid of the tail. I have also considered a duck tail. I am fairy new here. how do I contact Mike Z ? Here are some more pictures as requested.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1263518425.jpg

There is a guy on ebay Germany that does the old racing crest stickers.

I'll try to find a link for you.

Barrpete 01-15-2010 07:19 AM

I'm on the NW side as well near Silverbell & Sweetwater. Yes just holler if you need a hand with anything.

Thanks guys. Maybe we could meet sometime as we all live so close to one another. Any help would be greatly appreciated when the time comes. That's what impresses me about Pelicans is that they are willing to offer a hand. I have seen it time and time again on this board.

You can get rid of that Carrera badge with a hairdryer and a plastic scraper. (On an SC???)

No malice intended.

Arizona 911 01-16-2010 09:31 PM

I agree. The badge was on the car when I bought it. As I said earlier, I would like to put a stock decklid on it. I didn't want to mess with the carrera badge because I was afraid of damaging the paint.

Better yet.

Yes, don't mess with it if you're going to get a stock decklid. (I think it will look way better).
