Why run the rather heavy steel dust covers on the shocks? If my experience is any indicator, not really needed on a track only car. Though I've been wondering if a plastic bellows cover might not work if one was worried about dust.

the car might be entered in the carrera panamericana, lots of road ahead, at race speed.
here the progress; the frames are fabricated and now we added mesh, now here the dilema

we need to make a decision, silver or black,

what do you think ? we need a ton of airflow for oil coolers and brake ducting
more to come
Hans

How about silver on the frame and the inner 4" and then orange on the mesh to mimmick a turn signal lense.

Well, you have silver trimmed rear lenses, so... silver (plated) with black painted mesh.

What's the rest of the trim going to be? Window moldings, mirrors, etc...

Sweet project! Thanks for sharing.

For the turn signal/vents, I'd go with chrome trim surrounding graphite or titanium colored mesh.

These look great.

What about body colour instead of black or silver.
