1976 911S Speedometer Removel.

How do you remove a speedometer from the dash. Thanks.

It is only held in place with the rubber ring, it just pulls straight out.

A popsicle stick works great as a pry bar for this. Depending on how good the rubber gasket is holding the gauge it may need a little "help" coming out.

How do the guages come out of the dash?

Isn't that the last year of the mechanical speedo? If so, it won't come all the way out.

Pop out the tach, so you can reach in and unscrew the speedo cable fitting from the back of the speedo.
