We need pictures for the "customers' cars" section of our new website

Hello,
As some of you know I recently became the co-owner of Guard Transmission. One of the things I've been working on is getting our website revamped and up to date. As part of that we've decided we want to have an area that is dedicated to our customers and their cars.

What I am looking for is people who are running GT products in their cars who want to be on the site. The way the section will be structured is that there will be thumbnail pictures of the car and when a visitor clicks on it a new window will pop open. In the window will be a couple pictures of the car, a small list on the build/set up of the car (like class, engine size, what sort of racing you do) as well as what GT parts you are using. If you've won any races, TTOD, regional titles, etc. we want to highlight that as well, but you don't have to have a bunch of trophies to be part of this. We want to highlight ALL of our customers, even if it's "just" a street rod. You don't have to be a racer.

If this interests you, please send me an email at gtgears@yahoo.com We ask that you limit it to 3-4 pictures and that the pictures be no more bigger than 800 x 1200. Then give us 50-100 words about you and your car. When we're ready to post it to the section, we'll send you a release for you to sign so that we have the rights to use your pictures.

That's about it. If there's any questions or comments, please fell free to post them here. Please do not give us feedback or input on the site itself. We are well aware of the issues and problems that the old site had and do not want this thread to become focused on fixing the site. We're on top of that and you'll be able to see the new site go live around middle February. Thanks for your time and support.

Kind Regards,

Matt Monson

Yeah, I knew I'd get one or two of those. My response is what have you won lately? I've got my money on a few guys in a red cup car in the 24 at the end of the month...

How about a PCA club racing contingency program? I'm sure there are plenty of guys willing to put your stickers on. I've got CDOC and Hoosier stickers on my car for contingency points.

BTW, this is a serious post not a smart @ss response to the above.

Are you going to be at this year's inaugural PCA race at Sebring? We're a sponsor at the event and going to be rolling out something for the PCA racers.

You are welcome. While I wish we were big enough of a business to be a contingency sponsor for a race series we just don't have deep enough pockets to get involved at that level. We've picked a couple of races that we're going to sponsor and then there are a couple of pro teams we are working with. Hopefully over time we'll be able to do more, but in the meantime there will be a special discount for PCA members who are racing to help them keep their "habit" more cost effective.

Matt, i installed one of your LSDs in my 915 almost as an afterthought before sending my old 80 911 to Europe for the ultimate road trip of my life last year. I can't believe what a difference it made in the car's predicatbility at the limit on mountain roads and at the Nurburgring. Wish i had installed it 15 years ago. You guys were great to work with and answered all my mundane questions regarding splits, etc with patience. (Does a euro driver count as a 'track car") I'll send u some pix of the car along with specs. Thanks!

Running it on the ring counts as a track event that I am very jealous of...

I think some people may have misunderstood my intent. I'm really not looking for racecars. This isn't about sponsorship or claiming great victories using our parts. It's more of a customer appreciation thing more than anything else. We want to include the people who use our parts and let them show off their toys. I'm not looking product endorsements to use to promote the business. I just think it would be a cool section of the website to have where our customers get some kudos for bringing us their business.
