Ride Height and Narrow Bodied Track Width

How low can you go on ride height if you were to set a car up for mainly track driving before it would become too low for the occasional road trip?

Also what is the maximum front and rear track width you can use with a narrow bodied car. I guess a little extra can be squeezed out by rolling the inner arch lip but I wouldn't want to go as far as flaring the arches?

Is there a difference between how wide you can go on a pre-73 shell, SC and 3.2 Carrera on the rear and would the front be the same width on all three?
