i am stripping my 76s to bare metal.it has to be done. i have to do it piecemeal. i don't want to prime piecemeal. is there any product that will protect the galvenized metal until i get it all stripped.i thought of wd-40,but i don't want a petro based product. something that washes off with soap and water would be ideal! i want to prime all at once. thanx

Not sure how much of the 76 911 is galvanized, but for the galvanized metal you don't have to do anything to protect it. That's what the galvanization does. As for the rest, I always just use a light coat of primer.

I use a product called Rassonil......
You can get it at most local paint suppliers.. Just wipe it on smooth with one rag, then wipe it off with a clean one. It leaves a protective coating on the metal that can last years and is paintable. Ben in SC |
