Fuchs wheel advice
Hey everybody,
Need some advice....my wife and I are new owners in 911 land, we purchased an '81 911 SC this summer. When we took it in for some service work and to balance the tires, they couldn't get rid of the shimmy...turns out the front right wheel has a slight bend or something in it and needs to be repaired. So we're going to take it to a wheel shop to see if they can fix it up. Worst case scenario and if we need to get a replacement - is it tough to find original Fuchs out there, and what are the replicas like? Ie. Euromeister. Thx! |

6" and 7" are easy to find and inexpensive so there's no need for replicas in that size. check the parts section on this forum and you'll be able to find one. good luck!

it can be repaired - not sure where in central Canada - be sure any shop is familiar with the Fuchs/Porsches...
find out where Jeff Alton is located (BC?) he might be able to help avoid replicas unless you KNOW that they are high quality good luck! |

I'd get a second opinion too. I was told the same thing by a "Porsche specialist" and it turned out to be untrue. Just saying ... verify by someone who specializes in wheels.
