Post Kudos to the members of the Pelican Parts BBS

You can really tell alot from the language you find on the various bbs out there. I'm always pleasantly surprised to see the helpful nature and respect of those on this board. I frequent a MB board (for my ML320) and am always appalled at what goes on there. I think you should all pat yourself on the back. We seem to be members of an elite group who can actually speak English and don't denigrate ourselves with pubescent flaming!

100% agree Motion.

I am envolved with some other VW BBS groups and it is amazing some of the stupid flame wars they get into.

Plus the sence of homor here is very good and I get a chuckle at least couple times a day

Thanks!

you are right about porsche board v. Ml 320 board. See my last 2 posts in last 2 days
for my porsche. Both were met with unbelievably helpful comments and humor
peppered in. Then go to Ml 320 board, I am 3rd post down regarding brakes etc.
Look at the smart ass a-hole's response to my question. That was my first and last
visit.

Yep. Some BBSs are bad. I'm on a few music ones that are bad, a BMW Alpina one which is great but not well attended, but here is mostly great. As I said in another thread here, it's like Road Rage, and what I call Forum rage. It's easy at a computer to write hasty things about topics against people you'll never see and only your "Hotmail" email address is seen (unlike one's "real" email address).
So, like shouting out at another car driver on the road, people blast of on Forums, venting goodness knows what pains they have about, well, anything in their life. Or they just disagree, or probably something between the two!
I'm just venting...hehe

Saffs, the email I use is my "real" one, should I get a bull***** one for safety maybe

Or maybe a fence like the one at Lords at the moment
