What exhaust is this?

Found this on CL, very good price. Seller says its a stock SC exhaust, but It doesn't appear to me to be a factory stock exhaust.

Pretty sure I've seen it before, but can't remember who makes it.

Any ideas?

muffler

It looks like an early Triad system, I had one on my 66 2.0

bursch 3 muffler developed for the mfi motored cars. Just the right amount of back pressure (if not rusted or worn out) so the mfi does not have the mid range flat spot.
Sounds great too

What exhaust is this?

Thanks guys

I wanted to try this out on my 2.7 CIS.

Considering it was made for MFI, would this be a good or bad thing for my 2.7 CIS?

Bursch muffler.......

They were very popular in the VW community in the 70's and still have one set on '73 VW bug.

exhaust

Thanks TRE CUP...

I'm sure this is an old exhaust and the possibility of the glass pack being blown out is high.

I'm presently running a very good Bursch exhaust with a dynomax box, just looking for something with a slightly deeper note.

Then you don't want it, that muffler barked like crazy right out of the box.

A buddy of mine has that muffler on his 2.2 E. His car sounds like a sport bike. I can hear him coming for blocks. Definitely a unique sound for a 911. Those are light weight too, saving a few pounds off the rear of the car.
